AOWIN MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY COMMEMORATES GHANA’S 67TH INDEPENDENCE DAY ANNIVERSARY

The AOWIN Municipal Assembly celebrated the 67th Independence Day Anniversary of Ghana on 6th March 2024 at the roman catholic basic school park.

The ceremony which was under the theme “Our Democracy, Our Pride” witnessed participation of teachers and students of various schools in the Municipality, artisans and craftsmen, the security service and a host of others.

Delivering his speech, the Municipal Chief Executive; Hon. Samuel Adu-Gyamfi admonished all to ensure that they sustain the democracy that is being enjoyed in the country. He also used the occasion to make a call for a peaceful presidential and parliamentary elections in the upcoming 2024 general election.

The ceremony had the presence of the Presiding Member, the Municipal Coordinating Director, the District Police Commander, the District Crime Officer, the Municipal Immigration Commander, The Municipal Fire Commander, the Municipal Director of Education, Hon. Assembly Members, Traditional Rulers, Officers of the Security Services, Ambulance Service, Health Workers, Teachers and Students from various schools and many others.

Certificates and awards were presented to schools for their excelling performances in various activities with VICAF School and Roman Catholic Primary school being adjudged first in the march pas for the Junior High and Primary category respectively.
