AMA APPROVES 2025 BUDGET AND ACTION PLAN

The Aowin Municipal Assembly held its 3rd ordinary meeting of the 1st session of the 9th assembly at the Municipal Assembly Hall on Thursday 31st October 2024.

The purpose of the meeting was to present, discuss and approve the 2025 Annual Action Plan (AAP), Fee-Fixing Resolution, Composite Budget and the 2025 Revenue Improvement Plan.

Presentations were done by the Planning and Budget and Rating Units of the Assembly on the proposed AAP and Budget for the year 2025. The Assembly also took the chance to develop strategies that would help improve revenue mobilization in the Municipality.

Also at the meeting, other developmental issues ranging from health, education, roads, agriculture, security and others were discussed and strategies on how to surmount those challenges were outlined.

The MCE, Hon. Samuel Adu-Gyamfi in presenting his sessional address outlined the various successes the  Municipality had attained within the year. He empathized that the Assembly will continue to take the necessary actions geared at improving upon the livelihoods of people in the Municipality.

He also used the opportunity to provide update of the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP), the MCE pointed out that the Assembly had taken delivery of 6 road equipment for the programme. These are; a Motor Grader, Roller, Water Tanker, Backhoe, Tipper Truck and Concrete Mixer. He mentioned that works are ongoing on the Mile-4 Elubo road and other roads in the Municipality.

Touching on the upcoming December 7th presidential and parliamentary elections, he stated that all measures have been put in place to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the elections in the Municipality.
